Use videos of lessons via RDC Education
The Research Data Centre for Education (FDZ Bildung) at DIPF makes videos of lessons from educational research projects available for reusage. Because these videos concern personal data, access is restricted, subject to controlled conditions. Users are likewise committed to handle the videos carefully, see the terms of use.
We present a summary of crucial aspects concerning the use of lesson videos:
- Usage of the videos requires registration with FDZ Bildung and submission of an application for use. For information concerning registration and application procedures, see https://www.fdz-bildung.de/registrieren
- Access is granted for postgraduate scientists affiliated with a research institution and individuals whose research is supervised by a qualified scientist who also recognizes and signs the application.
- Lesson videos are only usable for research purposes; this also pertains to qualification theses, e.g. doctorate, Master, Bachelor.
- The lesson videos shall not be used for initial and further training and teaching purposes. An exception from this rule is only conceivable if video-based training is the main topic of research or if video data are reused in (university) research workshops. - Only those individuals are allowed to use the lesson videos who have submitted an application for usage and who have been granted access rights. It is not allowed to grant access to any other party. The videos containing personal data shall not be shown /presented either in part or full at conferences and they shall not be shared via social media or conference tools, pursuant to the terms of use.
