Dimension: Cognitive strategies
DefinitionCognitive strategies are activities that serve the mental examination of the respective subject matter, its comprehension and retention, i.e., the immediate absorption, processing and storage of information. They are also referred to as information processing strategies. Cognitive strategies can be divided into three subtypes: repetition strategies, elaborative strategies, and organizational strategies.
