Kategorie: Self-esteem stabilization
DefinitionHow learners explain their successes or failures to themselves substantially influences learning behavior. These (self-related) attributions have an impact on (learning) motivation. Self-efficacy beliefs influence the use of cognitive and metacognitive learning strategies. Learners should gain the impression that they themselves are decisive for their own learning behavior. It is therefore conducive to motivation if performance is attributed to internal and changeable rather than external and stable characteristics. This also influences the way difficulties are handled.
