Dimension: Activation
DefinitionActivation is an utterance or action of the teacher that aims at a strategic approach but does not elaborate on the use of the strategy. It remains unclear whether the teacher actually intended to teach a learning strategy by his statement and it can be assumed that the instruction does not raise the students' awareness of the strategy.
